Learning Moodle
About Moodle
Moodle is a learning management system who’s focus is on giving educators the best tools to manage and promote learning.
It is also open source, meaning that the source code is openly available and that there is an entire community of people contributing to the project to improve it – whether it be by fixing bugs or creating new modules. If you have a suggestion for improving Moodle, let us know!
Using Moodle (Tutorials)
Using Moodle is full of tutorials, tip sheets and videos created by our very own instructional designers to help you develop your course materials and improve your students’ experience in Moodle. If you can't find what you're looking for here, you can also try our Moodle KnowledgeBase of frequently asked questions.
If you are moving from Blackboard Vista to Moodle, Vista to Moodle terminology is a good place to start. You may also want to check out our Sample Course to see what is available in Moodle.
We would also highly encourage you to check back often and take advantage of the many training and feedback sessions run by the Centre of Teaching and Learning.
